Swainsona galegifola has not been readily available to date however the odd large collection has been made from post fire landscapes where it has germinated and cropped profusely. More use could be made of this attractive nitrogen fixing pea if only more seed could be generated.
Swainsona galegifolia is mostly found in coastal, subcoastal and inland New South Wales and Queensland however some occurrences are also noted in Victoria. The most northern occurrence is in Malanda near Cairns, Qld.
