"Erect, rhizomatous perennial shrub 0.4–1.5 m high." (Bean and Albrecht, 2008)
We observed Solanum succosum northwest of Mount Isa at which time it was abundantly flowering and fruiting and showed promise for use as a subshrub in rehabilitation works. The plant was normally less than a metre tall.
Solanum succosum is found throughout the Northern Territory and in Queensland from near Winton, northwest to Lawn Hill.
