Notes

Hovea parvicalyx is restricted to Queensland. For careful identification, please visit the related pages including North Queensland Plants (URL also below). Please refer to other Hovea pages here such as Hovea lorata for notes on seed production.

Care must be taken not to confuse Hovea parvicalyx and Hovea tholiformis. The two may be found in close proximity. In contrast to H. parvicalyx, thick hairs on the lower leaf surfaces of H. tholiformis may obscure the veins. Descriptions of the two may be found in the publication, Plants of the Burra Range by Betsy R. Jackes. "Grows in sand, sandstone outcrops or quartz-gravelly soils in forest and woodland." (Flora of Australia)
