Family | Rutaceae |
A tree of subtropical and dry rainforests to 40m high.
Flindersia australis occurs in about a dozen types of vine thicket or vine forest in Queensland. It is used in mine site rehabilitation although the seed can cause spreading issues depending on the equipment used due to its shape. The seed is only collected in small amounts across the industry and is relatively labour intensive. The use of seed for the growing of transplants in propagation facilities is probably preferable.
