Description

Notes

"Occurs on near-coastal consolidated sand dunes, in swales, on flats and sometimes on sandstone, in low woodland or tall shrubland (Wallum)." (Flora of Australia)

A small tree of immense character used in coastal revegetation projects where it is normally established from tubestocks. Banksia aemula will hold seed for very long periods of time and can be harvested when convenient to do so.
