Description

Notes

"Often forms dense stands, sometimes with A. shirleyi , in shallow stony soil, often over weathered sandstone, in the 625–750 mm annual rainfall belt. Also occurs in eucalypt woodland and open forest." (WorldWideWattle ver. 2)

Little seed has been collected from Acacia sparsiflora for use in rehabilitation however it would be useful for many replanting programs in Queensland. Stands of trees are common enough and are quite accessible. The pods are often at some height and may escape the collectors notice, yet they produce fair quantities of seed.
