Notes

The pods from Acacia retivenea subsp. retivenea are efficient to harvest and clean down into pure seed. Specimens around Mt. Isa usually have tomentose (short, dense hair) and bluish phyllodes. Closer to Camooweal the glabrous variant with green phyllodes is often seen. Some photographs of the latter are shown here.
