We mainly observe this wattle on sandy soils throughout the Barakula SF which contains diverse plant communities and is well worth visiting, especially if rain has recently fallen. The area is of interest for its wild flowers and sees visitors for this reason in late Winter-early Spring. Chinchilla and surrounding areas have been the home of many nature enthusiasts and amateur botanists.
